There are several new Nextgen slots nearing release time and the next title due for release is a slot developed by Side City Studios, titled Egyptian Rise this is another 243-way slot from Nextgen Gaming that utilises the “on a roll” functionality, needless to say, if you are a fan of their previous slot release Wolfpack Pays then you are probably going to like this release too.

Using a hugely bright neon theme the Egyptian Rise slot has hugely coloured reels adorned with all the familiar Egyptian symbols including Ankh’s, Scarab and of course some Pharaoh’s too for good measure.

For players unfamiliar with the “on a roll” mechanic, the normal scatter bonus trigger found in most online slots has been removed and replaced with a successive win mechanic, as you land wins on the reels extra wilds are then added in a set order and a free re-spin is granted, your current status with the “on a roll” feature is easily tracked to the right of the slot where a meter tracks your progress, if you carry on winning with 4 successive spins then you will trigger the main free spins bonus round.

Egyptian Rise is scheduled for official release on the 6th July 2016, and we expect Rizk Casino to add this slot in a timely fashion on release day, later this month Nextgen will also be releasing a volatile 10 line slot titled Great Wild Elk which should be live near the end of the month.

Egyptian Rise Slot – Bonus Round

Once the bonus round is triggered by 4 successive wins in a row in the base game the main free spins bonus is triggered.

There are unlimited free spins on offer during the bonus round, and you are granted effectively 3 non-winning spin chances before the bonus round ends, during the bonus round there are stacked wilds symbols added to all 5 reels of the slots (shown in the screenshot above), which increases your chances of scoring successive wins and more wins from the 243-way pay format.

Looking at the RTP (Return to Player) again Egyptian Rise has a massive theoretical RTP of 97.756%, this is identical to the Wolfpack Pays slot so we would presume the paytable for these slots are very similar but use a very different graphical theme, personally we prefer the neon reels of Egyptian Rise.

In our playtesting it seemed quite difficult to trigger the bonus round or make much progress with the “on the roll feature”, this was then followed by us triggering the bonus round several times in the next 100 spins and getting bonus wins in the region of 50x stake.

There is definitely some win potential in the bonus round (194400 maximum coin win), but it can also be quite cruel with just 3 non-winning spins ending the round so approach with caution as this is deemed a high variance slot from Nextgen.
