Book of Gods Gameplay and Bonus Features
|Book of Gods Slot – Technical Summary|
|Re-Trigger Bonus Round||Yes|
|Special Features||Symbol Cloning
|RTP (Return To Player)||96.35%|
Symbol Cloning – During base gameplay the Book will reveal a randomly chosen symbol from 9, 10, J, Q, K, A range, after any regular winning combinations if symbols match this cloning symbol they will expand to fill the entire reel and then payout from left to right using the 243-ways system.
Before the bonus round begins 1 of the 4 highest paying God symbols is chosen to act as the Cloning Symbol, during the free spins the same Symbol Cloning feature is active.
The bonus round can also be re-triggered by 3 scatters, and this will then choose a further premium symbol from the book giving additional chances at Symbol Cloning and further wins.
If all 4 God symbols become active during the bonus round then further additional free spins are added to the bonus round on re-trigger.
Book of Gods Slot
We found Book of Gods to be a somewhat disappointing release from BTG, whilst they have looked to add a Book of Ra style slot to their portfolio this release seems to miss the mark on their usual supremely high standards and innovative features.
The main issues are that the 243-way and symbol expansion mechanic really doesn’t seem to work well in combination with poor overall wins, with even 3 columns of matching symbols paying fairly poorly, with all of the slots big wins requiring 4 of a kind symbol expansion or more.
The Buy a Bonus feature really didn’t seem worth the risk in our playtests, with the majority of bonus rounds finishing below the initial cost in the 30x to 50 x stake range with the odd bonus reaching over 100x.
Overall if you enjoy the symbols expansion slots there are better games to choose from such the Novomatic range of games, and there are definitely better slots from BTG to be playing such as Bonanza and White Rabbit.
