It hasn’t actually been too long since the original Fruit Party slot was released, so we were initially surprised that the sequel to what proved to be a top-rated slot with players has arrived so quickly, or maybe not so much given its popularity!
In Fruit Party 2, you still have the same colourful fruit themed 7×7 grid slot, there have been some minor graphical updates to the design, background and animations, but overall you have a very familiar-looking slot.
Under the hood, there have been quite a few changes to the maths, so in this release, you can expect bigger wild multipliers in the base game and the bonus round, with this wild multiplier feature able to reach a huge 729x multiplier in the free spins round.
Whilst this is definitely enough to grab most players attention, it is worth noting that there is a win cap of 5000x stake on this machine. Whilst we aren’t complaining about such a value, 5000x is plenty!
It does seem somewhat counterproductive to add in such huge multipliers value or the potential of this occurring and having a win cap that will pretty much instantly trigger if this value is ever reached!
Fruit Party 2 – Base Gameplay
The Fruit Party 2 slot uses a grid-based layout and cluster pays payline format, with 7 reels and 7 rows making up this grid.
Winning combinations are formed by landing clusters of 5 or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels. The more symbols in this cluster, the bigger the wins.
When wins occur, these symbols are removed from the reels allowing new symbols to cascade in from the top of the slot. There is also a chance of special Wild Multipliers appearing in the space created by these wins!
Random Wild Multiplier Feature
In Fruit Party 2, the Multiplier Wilds symbols (random wild multiplier) in the base game start with a 2x multiplier attached to them. On subsequent wins, if it re-appears, this wild can double in value each time for a successive tumble win, increasing its value to 4x and then 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x and finally the maximum 256x multiplier in the base game.
If Multiple wilds are involved in these winning combinations, the multiplier values are added together, giving a nice boost to your overall winning cluster pay.
As with the original slot, the logic to whether these wilds symbols remain on the screen or vanish is all done RNG wise behind the scenes, which is not only confusing whilst trying to work this mechanic but frustrating too. It was an issue we didn’t like in the original slot, and it’s back again here!
If you are scratching your head playing this slot trying to work out why the wild re-appear sometimes or doesn’t, then you are not alone. We had to double-check the game rules to find that it’s just a chance to occur.

Free Spins and Bonus Features
Free Spins feature
in Fruit Party 2, the Golden Fruit acts as the scatter symbol. To trigger the free spins feature, you need to land at least 3 of these scatters. Landing further scatter symbols increases the initial reward and the starting number of free spins for the bonus round.
With up to 100x rewards for landing 7 Golden Fruit Scatters, which also awards 25 free spins!
The full range of starting free spins is as follows
3 Scatters – 10 free spins
4 Scatters – 12 free spins
5 Scatters – 15 free spins
6 Scatters – 20 free spins
7 Scatters – 25 free spins
During the free spins round, the special Wild Multiplier feature is again in action. Rather than starting on 2x like in the base game, this is increased to a starting value of 3x.
This means that subsequent wins if this wild symbol remains active increase at a faster rate with 9x, 27x, 81x, 243x or 729x, not forgetting that multiple wilds in a cluster will also be added together!
Multiple Re-triggers are possible too, by landing 3 scatters during the bonus round, which will definitely help to extend the bonus duration.
Bonus Buy Option
There is also a Bonus Buy feature in specific countries, which costs 100x your current stake size, so for a regular bet of €5, this would cost €500 to trigger the bonus round instantly.
There is a slight difference in overall RTP should you play this option exclusively, with the stated RTP being marginally lower at 96.45%
The paytable displayed below shows the premium win symbol payouts based on a €5 stake size, factor in that no multipliers are being applied to these amounts in the paytable. Multipliers can reach up to 729x in the free spins.
With cluster pays the additional symbols grant higher pays for more matching symbols, the maximum is capped at 15+ Matching symbols in a cluster.
Fruit Party 2 – The Bonus Buy Playtest
We playtested the Fruit Party 2 Slot using the bonus buy feature exclusively at a €5 stake (Bonus cost €500) to test the winning potential and volatility of the free spins available on this machine
Whilst it standard play the RTP is stated as 96.53% when using the Bonus Buy exclusively then the RTP is listed at 96.45%.
20 bonus buys are definitely not enough to get anywhere close to the theoretical RTP values with confidence, but we do see it as a more than thorough playtest that a regular player may have whilst playing this slot and hopefully shed some light on potentially how volatile this machine can be.
20 Bonus Buys Playtest Results
The stake size was €5 making the Bonus Buy cost €500 (100x Stake)
Notable points from the playtest were that this slot could be brutal if you get a sequence of bad bonuses. In our 20 bonus buys, only a few resulted in wins over the original buy amount.
The horrific overall session RTP is a big indication of how volatile this slot can be. Of course, if we were luckier and had some huge connected Wild Multipliers, this may have skewed the figures in the opposite direction, but you can see that if you aren’t hitting these, expect your bankroll to take a nosedive.
Out of the 20 bonuses, we had one that resulted in 4 scatter triggers giving us some extra starting free spins, and we had no re-triggers during any of these bonus rounds. Whilst they can occur multiple times, expect them not to be freequent.
The maximum win for the Fruit Party 2 Slot is capped at 5,000 x Stake in the base game and the free spins round, If the total win reaches 5000x then the round will end immediately and all free spins remaining are forfeited.

Final Opinions on the Fruit Party 2 Slot
As a standalone slot machine, the Fruit Party 2 slot is above average. It’s a classic fruit theme that players enjoy and has exciting mechanics like the Wild Multiplier, which has been ramped up in this version to crazy levels.
As a sequel by Pragmatic Play, however, it’s quite a disappointment. When we referred back to the original slot review we did for Fruit Party, it seems very little has changed in terms of the gameplay. In fact, the same annoyances in how the Wild Multipliers work were the major annoyance with this machine.
Without trying to sound overly sarcastic, the biggest difference in this release is the addition of a number 2 in the game title.
The increased multipliers might have been more appealing if the win cap wasn’t kept at 5000x. It almost seems like a futile effort to make this slot sound more appealing until you really dig a bit deeper and find this is largely an irrelevant change.
If we look at rival slots such as Jammin Jars 2, whilst you could argue all day long whether the original or sequel is the better slot, at least there was some effort to make the difference in the new release distinguishable.
