This is the natural successor to the famous Jurassic Park slot and is themed similarly. The reel strips are made up of a mixture of Dinosaurs and the main characters from the film acting as the premium high paying symbols.
Jurassic World uses a regular 5×3 reel set along with the 243-way pay any payline format. The base game has 2 key new features to look out for, the Indominus Rex mode which acts as a randomly awarded multiplier which can be up to 1000x your bet, and a quite novel Scatter Wild feature which when 2 of the Amber Scatter symbols land on the reels will turn into wild symbols for that spin, and of course 3 or more of the scatters triggers the main free spins bonus rounds.
Initially, the 3 free spins modes on offer are randomly selected, as you unlock more bonus rounds you will eventually be able to select which of the 3 modes to play.
They all seem capable of some decent wins so by the time it has unlocked you will have already probably found your bonus round of choice, below is a quick summary.
- Gyrosphere Vally – Free Spins with an increasing Multiplier Value up to 7x, this rises on losing spins and will grant extra spins at the end of the bonus round until a win is received.

Overall Thoughts
The Jurassic World slot is a solid release from Microgaming, packed full of interesting bonus rounds, the format is very similar to several of their previous 243-way slots so if you are a fan of titles such as Jurassic Park, Immortal Romance and Terminator 2 then this should definitely appeal.
The real question is whether it’s a better slot that Jurassic Park which still remains very popular with players, the new bonus rounds are certainly interesting and are capable of some absolutely huge wins especially with the 7x Multiplier mode, but others seem a little lacklustre such as the Sticky Wilds in the Raptor Free Spins which looks great until you re-trigger the round the and sticky wilds are removed from the reels.
In our playtests, we managed base game hits of over 200x stake and similar bonus rounds, so this is a slot definitely worth playing, but time will tell whether it becomes a more popular slot that the classic Jurassic Park.
In our opinion, it’s a good slot but the original still has a slight edge with the more varied bonuses and win potential in all modes and a better user interface, check it out and see if you agree.
