All of the special features in Mega Dragon are activated by firstly creating wins from the premium symbols, which in turn creates a wild symbol on the reels, if you manage to then get 2 or more wilds in adjacent positions then one the special features activate.

Mega Dragon is a strange beast of a slot, we were all set to actually hammer this slot in the review as the lack of the main bonus round and what seemed like a bunch of mediocre special features that didn’t really do much just didn’t seem that interesting.
We struggled to get even a decent “Big Win” screenshot, but thankfully playtested this slot for much longer afterwards and we at least found a saving grace for this slot.
The key feature to this slot where it really gets interesting is when multiple wilds are created in the same spin/tumbling reels and when this happens multiple dragons sweep across the screen adding multiple special features into play at the same same time. In an almost chain reaction style wins occur again and again, of course, they eventually come to an end, but seeing this happening was like night and day from what we had witnessed in our earlier playtesting of dead spins and poor features.
Whilst I don’t think this makes up for the disappointing gameplay, it might well throw out a few nice surprises for people willing to stick this slot out.
