Penguin Escape Mode
The Penguin Escape Mode is activated in the base game when a wild symbol lands on the second or fourth reel and forms a win on the reels, you are then transported to the free spins bonus round with and the wild symbols are held in place on the reels.

The Penguin City slot is another visually gorgeous slot from Yggdrasil Gaming which features a quirky and bizarre theme, the gameplay is fast with frequent bonus rounds but does come with issues too.
Since the bonus round is reliant on creating a winning combination during each spin some of the bonus rounds can be very short-lived, even with the addition of sticky wilds and escaping penguins trying to provide additional wilds and the wild reel feature is was not uncommon for the bonuses to last just a few spins, adding to the frustration of the failing Penguins trying to escape.
There were, however, some very exciting bonuses too where several extra wilds were added to the reels before the walking wild reel landed which can lead to some very impressive wins.
Overall Penguin City is a bit hit and miss, there is some fantastic win potential with bonus rounds well over 200x, but some extreme frustration during some of the short-lived bonus rounds were no wins land and the bonus simply ends.
