The Rift Slot Mechanics
The Rift is a 17 fixed payline slot, using a regular 5×3 reel layout, in the base game there are regular wild symbols and a special Rift Scatter symbol, landing 3 of these symbols or more will trigger the free spins bonus round, but landing just 2 will trigger a Rift Spin.
A Rift Spin occurs on a 2 scatter trigger, this is basically a re-spin of the reels with a random amount (1-3) Wilds added onto the reels.
3 or more of the Rift Scatter symbols trigger the main bonus round which awards anywhere from 10 up to 20 free spins depending on the number of scatter symbols that landed (3-5).
Rift Bonus Game
The main free spins round is where this online slot really comes into it’s own, we did mention Sticky Wilds earlier, but there is a twist, the Sticky Wilds which land or get added to the reels only remain stuck when they do not form any payline wins.
This particular slot mechanic means it may actually but much more rewarding for the Sticky Wilds to land on the furthest reels initially allowing them to stack up before a really big win drops in.
The other main mechanic occurs when additional scatters land on the reels, behind the reels you will see The Rift Seal, as additional scatters land on the reels you will progress around this seal (9 steps in total), which not only adds additional Sticky Wilds to the reels but also 2 extra free spins at each checkpoint.
