Free Spins feature

On this slot, in particular, the cascading wins did seem very streaky (more than average), in that once a chain of wins lines up, this can lead to many subsequent wins after that on the same spin, causing the win multiplier to rise in value quickly as a result.
The downside of this streakiness is that you can expect a few completely dead spins as the trade-off.
Wild Match feature
This wild match feature triggers when two or more matching symbols have landed on the upper reel line.
The lightning bolts hitting the reels turn all these identical symbols and any instances of the same symbol type directly under them into wild symbols.
If any symbols that have been converted into wild symbols do not form part of any winning combination (generally on the reels to the right-hand side), then they will remain on the reels until all cascading wins have been completed.

We playtested the Wild Hammer Megaways slot using the bonus buy feature exclusively to fully test the variety of free spins options available on this machine and to see how effective the Mystery Choice free spins option could be, given that you can win the highest number of starting free spins and highest multiplier combined when selecting this option.
Whilst it standard play the RTP is stated as 95.78% when using the Wild Hammer Bet exclusively then the RTP is listed at 96.71%.
Whilst 20 bonus buys are nowhere near enough bonus rounds to give you a full indication of the slots true potential, it is hopefully a fair reflection of the highs and lows you might encounter in a slot session.
If the aim were to test the validity of the stated RTP, then we would be looking at millions of bonus rounds to test it fully!
5 bonuses were played at each of the 4 different free spins options.
Notable points from the playtest were that the range and perceived volatility of the free spins options had little effect on the final wins from our bonus round test.
Also, some of the results from this bonus round were BRUTAL with several under 10x stake. It was really only the one huge win that saved the day in this playtest!
Whilst this is a tiny sample size, the winning potential on this machine is related way more to things such as scoring multiple cascading wins in a row and landing several extra spins as opposed to the starting multiplier.
The Wild Hammer Match feature was the key to the huge win I managed on 1 of the bonus rounds.
The biggest win we had actually came from a 10 free spins bonus round with a 1x starting multiplier, thanks to a chain of 10 cascading wins quickly raising the multiplier value followed by a great Hammer Match feature!
In fact, the one Mystery Choice bonus where we managed to get the equivalent of Max/Max in terms of free spins and the starting 5x multiplier resulted in one of the poorest bonus round wins.
However, the range of free spins options isn’t that vast in terms of potential starting differences to make opting for the Mystery Choice too much of a risk.
