Wild West – Hi-Roller – Novomatic Slot

Energy Casino continues to add more Novomatic slots to their casino, just a few days after the Faust slot was added a brand new slot titled Wild West (Hi-Roller) is now live and playable at the casino.

Offering something a little different for a Novomatic Slot, there are 3 different game modes (Standard, Silver Hi-Roller and Gold Hi-Roller modes) which all take place in a 4 reel set (10 payline per slot) Western Cowboy setting.

There is a total of 4 separate 5×3 reel-sets all with 10 paylines each, and the minimum bet is just 20 credits for the total 40 paylines, it’s also worth noting that the pays can occur from both left to right and right to left.

Given the number of paylines and the way in which they payout in both directions the wins can seem somewhat small, but there are definitely a few ways to get some big wins from this slot too.

In the standard mode, if you manage to land any of the wild symbols on the main reel set then they are transferred across to all of the other 3 reel sets for that spin (in a similar fashion to the Bruce Lee 2 Slot from WMS), there is also a random Gunshot Bonus which can occur after any spin and multiply the wins up to a 10x multiplier.

There are 2 other Hi-Roller modes which the player pays an extra premium for, these both add further functionality to the slot and as a result raises the slots RTP (Return to Player) too.

Wild West – Hi-Roller Modes

There are 2 different Hi-Rollers modes on offer, the first is the Silver level which costs a premium of 5x the normal Stake, and the Gold Mode which costs 10x Stake.

For each of these High-Roller modes you receive 3 consecutive spins in total, with the addition that any wild symbols that land of the reels are held in place for the remaining spins, this also applies to the wild symbols that land on the main reel and are also transferred onto the other 3 reel sets.

In summary,

  • Silver High- Roller – 3 Spins for 5x Stake with Wilds held in place – Slot RTP raised to 96%
  • Gold High Roller – 3 Spins for 10x with Wilds held in place (50% Extra Wilds) – Slot RTP raised to 97%

The Gunshot Bonus can also occur in both High-Roller modes and multiply wins up to a 10x value.

Overall Thoughts

The main downside to the Wild West slot is the lack of a main bonus round to look forward too, the base game can be quite exciting with the High Roller modes active, and the slot certainly seems capable of producing some nice wins in these modes if you get lots of wild symbols on the initial spin, but apart from that it can seem quite underwhelming given the low pays for 3 of a kind symbols, and the almost micro pay wins for the low paying symbols.

Greentube has rated this slot as a 2/5 Volatility slot, and this seems fairly consistent with our playtests, for die hard Novomatic slot fans there are definitely better slots to be playing, but Wild West may make for a fantastic wagering slot on Hi-Roller mode with its 97% RTP.
