As you progress through the bonus round and more symbols get converted into mystery symbols, they soon become very heavily stacked, allowing you to fill up the progress meter a lot quicker as well as revealing lots of stacked matching symbols.
One extra novel twist is that is any regular symbols that are visible on the reels when the meter is filled and about to be removed from the reels are also then converted into Mystery Coin symbols and then added to the meter speeding up the collection process slightly.
Whilst there is no re-trigger on offer during the bonus round, which we found disappointing, it’s quite obvious why, once 2-3 symbols have been removed, the number of Mystery symbols on the reels becomes huge!

The Wings of Ra slot from Red Tiger Gaming is quite an interesting release from them. The Mystery Coin symbols are an interesting concept, particularly in the bonus round where converting symbols increases their number progressively onto the reels. Once a few symbols have been converted, you can land very heavily stacked blocks of them onto the reels.
In our playtests, we were disappointed by the lack of extra and re-triggers, but once we managed a good bonus round over 100x, it’s obvious why this couldn’t be included due to the heavily stacked Mystery coins being close to completely covering the reels on the final few spins!
Certainly worth a play as this slot isn’t quite as volatile as we originally anticipated but still has some good potential with a 4 or 5 scatter trigger. Those extra spins could really make a huge difference to the bonus round!
