Play the new Wonder Woman slot from Bally / SG Interactive

Rizk Casino has just added the brand new Wonder Woman Gold Slot from Bally/SG Interactive to their casino, based on the original TV series featuring Lynda Carter and including the iconic and somewhat cheesy theme tune, this slot is packed with lots of special features.

Wonder Woman Gold features a 5×4 reel set and 40 fixed paylines, along with this there are 3 different Jackpots on offer, expanding wild reels, Mystery Stacked Reels, 3 different free spins options, and a rather unusual “Buy a Bonus Feature”.

Given the heavily stacked symbol reels on each spin (Mystery Stacks), the paytable is somewhat on the tame side with the highest paying symbol “Wonder Woman” paying a rather disappointing 3x stake, although given the heavily stacked symbol reels this could potentially be 120x stake for a full-screen “Diana symbol” hit.

Wonder Woman Slot – Base Game Play

During base game play there are some special jackpot symbols on reels 1 and 5 (Mini, Major, Mega), if you manage to land 2 of the same matching coloured symbols you win that specific jackpot, the jackpot totals are based on your current stake size, but you will only start to notice these increase if you stake 3.00 credits of above per spin.

As an example, playing at 2.50 credits has a potential Mega Jackpot of 500 credits, raising your stake to 3.00 credits will increase the Mega Jackpot value to 600 credits.

On reels 2,3,4 there are some special expanding wild symbols, if theses wild symbols land on the reels they will expand to cover the entire reel with a Wonder Woman Wild symbol, and of course there is a free spins bonus round which is triggered by landing 3 of the special scatter symbols or by using the “Buy a Bonus Feature”.

Wonder Woman Slot Bonus Features

On triggering the free spins bonus round by landing 3 scatters on the reels you are then presented with a choice of 3 different free spins, the different options are as follows,

  • 8 Free Spins – with the special Gold Diana Symbols replacing all of the J, Q, K, A symbols on the reels.
  • 16 Free Spins – with the special Gold Diana Symbols replacing all of the J, Q, K symbols on the reels.
  • 25 Free Spins – with the special Gold Diana Symbols replacing all of the J, Q symbols on the reels.

In our playtests, we opted for the 8 Free Spins mode the most, given the low volatility and paytable, you are really looking for as many stacked 5 of a kind Gold Diana wins as possible, there are also the special expanding wild symbols present during the bonus round on reels 2, 3, 4 which can help greatly to create more winning combinations.

The stated RTP (Return To Player) for Wonder Woman Gold is 95.84%

Buy a Bonus Feature

If you are an impatient player, you are given an option to simply Buy a Bonus feature, you pay a premium stake for this option and there are a couple of issues why we really disliked this feature.

Firstly it is not very clear at what line stake you will be playing at after paying this premium to instantly trigger the bonus, our best guess given the paytable is that the lowest option for “Buy a Bonus” would equate to the same bet as triggering the regular bonus on minimum bet size.

Our second reason for disliking this feature is that the paytable states that the “Buy A Bonus” Free Spins round uses an alternate reel-set, whilst it is not unusual for any free spins round on any slot to use a different reel set for the bonus, what this slot doesn’t state in the instructions is if the Buy a Bonus Free Spins round uses the same reel set as a regular free spins triggered bonus.

Our main dislike about this new feature is the lack of clear information given from Bally/SGi in the paytables.

The RTP is higher at 96.92% if played solely on the Buy A Bonus Feature so there are some good reasons to use it, but overall we preferred the regular mode.
