3×3 Hotzone
The sandy beach Hotzone is a 3×3 square placed in the centre of the reels, this a key element to this slot as it is the area that causes many of the special features to trigger whilst playing the slot.
- Treasure Map – Triggered by the Treasure Map symbol landing anywhere on the reels at any moment. A selection of 6 random prizes can be won (picking round feature) including Coin Wins, Wild Symbol, Locking Wilds and Swirling Rapids Features.

Final Review
The Booty Bay slot is another fantastic release from Push Gaming, the Pirate/Treasure theme works perfectly with the “3×3 Hotzone” Beach, Treasure Map and Chests all being added into the gameplay nicely. Similarities can be drawn to the Multiplier mechanics of Jammin Jars 2 and it works nicely in this release too with the added twist of needing to be in the Hotzone to activate.
The abundance of mini-features keeps the game ticking over nicely, the addition of being able to trigger further features from the Treasure Map is a very nice calculated addition to this machine!
Things that aren’t so great are the adoption of variable RTP’s, which we mentioned earlier in the article, but this is an industry sweeping feature (configured at operator level). Players should be vigilant in knowing which RTP version they are playing!
At first, we were disgruntled by a “Max win cap” but in terms of functionality, you have technically unlimited re-spins in the main feature so a sensible but still impressive win cap of 20,000x seems to make sense after testing this machine.
