Reel Attraction is a regular 5×3 reel slot with 20 paylines and uses a rather unique “Reel Slide” feature in both the base game and the bonus round, the slot is themed around a mad professor who is experimenting with magnets and potions in his lab.

Reel Attraction – Base Gameplay

There are wild symbols present on all 5 reels but the wilds on reel 1 have the “Mad Professor” symbol on them and act slightly different, when this special wild symbol lands on reel 1, if any further “Magnet Wilds” land on any of the others reels then the “Reel Slide” feature  is activated and that entire reel is pulled towards reel 1 along with reel 1 turning into a full wild reel for that spin.

The interesting part to this is that is any wins are formed on the initial spin they are paid out, and after the “Reel Slide” occurs new wins are paid out also.

The main bonus round is 20 free spins, with a chance to re-trigger the bonus one more time, giving a maximum of 40 free spins, this is triggered by landing 3 or more of the special Potion Scatter symbols.

The same “Reel Slide” feature is present in the bonus round, with the addition that one it has occurred the first reel will remain a full wild reel for the rest of the bonus round.

Overall Thoughts

The Reel Attraction slot definitely introduces a slightly different mechanic to the regular Novomatic slots, in our testing we seemed to get quite frequent bonus rounds (for Novomatic slots!), although the end results from the bonus rounds varied from as little as 5x stake right up to 200x.

The key to this slot is definitely going to be from hitting the “Reel Slide” feature early into the bonus round, which then gives you a full wild reel for the rest of the bonus round, and any further Magnet Wilds will instantly trigger the Reel Slide feature.

Greentube/Novomatic rate this as a 3/5 volatility slot and this seemed fairly on point with our playtests, with a theoretical RTP ( Return to player) of 95.11%.

Overall not a bad release, but definitely not one of our favourite Novomatic slots.
