Base Gameplay
The base gameplay on Mount Magma is quite simplistic in nature. You have a 5×4 reel set with 20 fixed paylines. The reel strips are made up of a broad mix of suitably themed volcanic symbols, fiery rocks and crystals, making it quite apparent which ones are the highest paying given their bold colours.
In terms of special features, you won’t find too many here, but there are huge, heavily stacked high paying symbols present on all reels, which can pay up to 10,000x stake for a full-screen of the highest paying Red Crystal symbols.
Start landing these fully on the reels, and you get a nice slowdown tease effect when these begin to form winning combinations!
Things to look out for in the base game apart from these heavily stacked symbols are the special Magma Rocks and the Magma Wild symbols.
When the Magma Rock symbols land on the reels, they are launched into the Volcano sitting behind the slot, and when doing so, have a chance to erupt the volcano and trigger the Jackpot Feature. They may also leave behind a Magma Wild on the reels creating additional wins.
If the volcano erupts, then you will enter the Volcano Bonus Feature. From here, you can actually add some huge instant prizes to the Volcano feature, which is where both the Daily and Mega Jackpot jackpots are also waiting to be won.

Mount Magmas Slot – Special Features
Base Game
The main focus in the base game is landing the special Magma Wild Lava and Magma Rocks symbols which give you the chance of triggering the Volcano Feature.
Aside from this, it is looking out for the huge stacked symbols that can result in full-screen wins and of course hoping to trigger the volcano bonus!
- Highest Paying Red Crystal Symbol – The Red Crystal symbol is the highest paying symbol on this slot, and pays the same as the wild symbol, for 5 of a kind on a single payline this pay 500x stake.
- Magma Rocks Symbols – In the base game, if a special Magma Rock Symbol lands anywhere on the reels it is collected and travels into the Volcano. A special Wild Lava Symbol is then left behind on the reels.
- Wild Lava Symbol – This wild symbol is left behind when a Magma Rock Symbol is launched into the volcano, these symbols also appear naturally on the reels and act as a regular Wild.

If the Magma Spin lands on a Jackpot, the Jackpot amount will be seen at the top of the volcano mountain during the Volcano Bonus Feature. This will be the Top Prize for the feature.
When the Volcano Feature begins, you are given a picking style round with 11 rows of selectable tiles in a pyramid-style pick me bonus round, including Instant Prizes, Advance Symbols and the Game Over symbols which signals the end of the bonus round.
Work your way up to the top of the volcano as each pick is revealed. If you manage to reach the very top, then you will be awarded that Volcano Jackpot Prize!
Daily Jackpot
The Daily Jackpot seeds at €1000 after being won and has a timer that informs you when this jackpot must be won by, this is based in real-time, so if the timer is approaching zero, it must be won soon. There is no upper limit on this jackpot value. Instead, the timer and how many players have played slot the slot affect its current value.
The Daily Jackpot must drop every day.
Mega Jackpot
The Mega Jackpot also has a set amount of time that it must be won before. Players can win a maximum of €100,000 from the Mega Jackpot (can vary by the operator).

Overall Opinions on the Mount Magmas Slot
We have mixed feelings about the Mount Magmas Jackpots slot. Whilst visually it is on par with previous Push Gaming slot releases, the gameplay if you discount the Double Jackpot feature felt somewhat lacking.
The lack of special features apart from the odd added wild and heavily stacked symbols means there isn’t much going on in the base game apart from hoping that the Magma lands on the reels and you are lucky in it triggering the Volcano Feature.
Whilst the base game hit potential is great at 10,000x. Even bigger rewards can be won from instant prizes (20,000x), in the back of our minds is the 8% contribution from the RTP, which is contributed to the Jackpot features, so if you aren’t hitting these features regularly, then, in essence, it will feel like you are playing at 88.50% RTP slot which isn’t much fun.
To enjoy this slot fully, you need to be specifically looking for a Progressive Jackpot slot. If that is the case, then having a Daily and Mega Jackpot with countdown timers will definitely be of interest!
For this Mount Magmas slot review, we didn’t fully playtest this machine with our regular 1,000 spins playtest as we had limited access to the slot before launch which enabled testing only of the bonus round functionality, we have since played the base game to test the slot out, but with such limited special features felt it wasn’t worthwhile testing the RTP and volatility in such detail.
