Unravel the Mysteries of the Pyramyth in Thunderkicks New Egyptian Themed Big-Hitting Slot!
Pyramyth Slot Review
Prepare to journey on a sci-fi adventure set in a future Egypt setting in the latest Thunderkick slot Pyramyth, set to be unleashed at Casumo Casino on the 18th of August 2021.
Using a regular 5×3 reel layout, this slot comes packed with volatility in the form of Wild Multipliers, Roaming Wilds, Sticky Re-spins. Free Spins and a maximum win of 10,000 x stake.
While this all sounds utterly delightful, this slot does bear quite a resemblance in terms of gameplay and mechanics to the Midas Gold Touch slot from Thunderkick, released back in 2019.
We have a few additional features on offer in this slot and polished visuals, so if you are a fan of the sticky win and re-spins style slots, this machine will definitely appeal.
We break down how all the features, multipliers and how sticky wins work later and give this slot a thorough playtest to gain insight into its potential and how it fairs in our 1000 spins playtest.
Base Game
Base gameplay has no random extra features. Instead, you have 15 fixed paylines and fairly standard gameplay featuring wild symbols and bonus scatter symbols.
To score wins on Pyramyth, you need to land 3 or more matching symbols from the left side of the reels on any of the 15 fixed paylines.
There is some big hit potential in the base game from the High Paying Priestess Symbol. Still, the primary focus is triggering the free spins round as quickly as possible, where the Sticky Roaming Wilds come into play, along with the Re-Spin mechanic for successive wins.
Scarab Wild Symbol
The Scarab Wild Symbol is the main focus of base gameplay and acts as a multiplier. It is present on all 5 reels, and when wins are formed using multiple wilds, these also multiply together, boosting wins up to a maximum of 32x multiplier value.
- 1 Wild symbol in a pay line grant a 2x multiplier
- 2 Wild symbols in a pay line grant a 4x multiplier
- 3 Wild symbols in a pay line grant an 8x multiplier
- 4 Wild symbols in a pay line grant a 16x multiplier
- 5 Wild symbols in a pay line grant a 32x multiplier

Free Spins and Bonus Features
Pyramyth Free Spins
The main bonus round is triggered by landing 3 or more Bonus Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. Additional Scatters will award more starting free spins as follows.
- 3 Scatter 10 Free Spins
- 4 Scatter 15 Free Spins
- 5 Scatters 20 Free Spins
Re-Trigger
If a total of 3 Scatter symbols are collected during a single free spin, including the Sticky Re-Spins, you are awarded 5 extra free spins. This can be tracked below the main reel set during the bonus round in a handy collection meter.
Bonus Scatter Symbol
Land 3 to trigger the bonus.
Sticky Respin Feature
In the Bonus game, any pay line win triggers the Sticky Respin feature. During this feature, any winning symbols in a pay line will be locked on the reels held in place, and the remainder of the symbols will then respin.
This Re-Spin feature continues until no additional winning symbols are landed on the reels or the reels are filled with winning payline combinations.
A nice little feature here during the respins is the chance of extra wilds landing in view, extra scatters being collected to award a re-trigger, and if the wilds roam to a non-winning position on the re-spins they move again to a new position.
In summary, this Sticky Respins feature provides lots of interesting little interactions along with the extra respins!
Pyramyth Slot – The 1000 Spins Playtest
We playtested the Pyramyth Slot with 1000 base game spins and a bet size of 5 euros.
The slot was tested on the 96.17% RTP version, with the aim to get a glimpse of just how volatile this slot could be along with the winning potential and bonus round features such as the sticky respins.
Notable points from this playtest were the difficulty we had in actually triggering any bonus rounds. With the first bonus feature taking shy of 900 spins to trigger, It’s fair to say we had a pretty awful playtest session on this slot.
Thankfully we did manage 2 further bonus features in the final 100 spins, which somewhat redeemed the overall session, but all in all, it was still pretty horrific.
The bonus rounds themselves are super volatile. If you don’t get the sticky roaming wilds early on, then you may suffer. We did manage a re-trigger also, which does help to extend the feature somewhat. Still, the key to this machine is getting lots of Roaming WIlds early into the bonus, making wins almost definite on each free spin.
Our highlight bonus round had 3 roaming wilds in total, and it is easy to see how just 1 or 2 more could completely transform this machine into a monster, but given our dire playtest in the base game by 1000 spin, we weren’t too keen to continue testing much further.
The bonus round when it does trigger is fantastic. The base game waiting for this to happen, not so much!

Pyramyth Slot Final Review
Final Opinions on Pyramyth
The Pyramyth slot is a tough one to summarise, the visual design is always top-notch from Thunderkick, the features on this game are awesome too, the re-spins and roaming wilds provides a super exciting bonus feature with bags of potential.
The base game however is literally a means to an end, there is nothing really apart from praying for a line hit with lots of wilds (which didn’t really happen for us) or a bonus trigger to look forward to, our playtest wasn’t the best by any means but even after continued play the bonus trigger is a really tough one on this game.
The slot is great once you do the bonus round but whether you can endure the base game and your balance going south long enough to see it remains another matter. Worth playing but approach with care in terms of bet size!
