The Grand uses a 6 reel array similar in style to WMS slots like Zeus 3 and Red Flag Fleet and more recently the Netent Motorhead slot, and comes loaded with a variety of additional bonus features that include free spins and base game, added wilds, synced reels and nudging reels.
The main bonus round is triggered by the usual 3 or more scatters and award a minimum of 6 free spins, additional scatters will increase the number of starting free spins up to a maximum of 16 which can in turn greatly increase your chance of you having a good bonus round.
The 3 additional bonus features come into play during the free spins round with a “bonus re-trigger” randomly adding 1 of these 3 features into the remaining free spins and granting some additional free spins too.
The twist to this slot is that multiple re-triggers can occur during the bonus round which will then add one of the other features into the mix, so with synced reels, added wilds and nudging reels all activated at the same time things can get very exciting.

Bonus Features
Once the bonus round has been triggered the free spins round will begin, if you manage to re-trigger the bonus (3 scatters) then 1 of the 3 special features shown below will be added to reels for the remaining spins, with all 3 becoming active if you manage to get 3 bonus re-triggers.
Random wilds
When the random Wilds feature is active, anywhere from between four to eight random Wilds will be added onto the reels.
Synced Reels

The Grand slot is an interesting release from Quickspin which is packed full of interesting bonus features that combine well with each other, with a variety of free spins on offer along with re-triggers, the hunt for activating all 3 bonus mechanics during the bonus round is certainly a fairly entertaining journey.
In our playtests, we generally managed to activate 1 or 2 of the special modifiers, whilst activating the 3rd seems to be a lot rarer and is definitely easier if you manage to trigger the bonus with more starting free spins, The bonus rounds were generally ending in the range of 20x stake up to 100x based on a fairly big sample size of free spin rounds.
There are of course going to be outliers and this slot is certainly capable of throwing out much bigger wins in both the base game and bonus round but it really didn’t feel to us like it was a huge move towards some kind of super high variance slot from Quickspin.
Worth a play if you are already a fan of Quickspin slots, or simply for checking out the bonus round a few times you may well get luckier than we did!
